Empowering PwDs: NIACE Foundation's Training Initiative under SCPwD's SANKALP Scheme with UPSDM
UPSDM (Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission) and SANKALP (Skill Acquisition and Knowledge Awareness for Livelihood Promotion) aim to enhance skill training and create better opportunities for the youth. They are both integral to the broader strategy of improving employability and advancing socio-economic development

Under the UPSDM-SANKALP Scheme, special emphasis is placed on training and placement for disadvantaged groups.
Key aspects of this initiative include:
Skill Training: 1200 beneficiaries receive training in sectors such as Tourism & Hospitality, IT-ITes/Apparel, Retail, and Electronics across multiple districts including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Ghaziabad, Muzaffarnagar, and Moradabad of Uttar Pradesh.
Placement Assistance: Post-training, more than 70% of the trained PwD candidates have secured employment in organizations like Flipkart, Amazon, Taj Resorts, and SPARK MINDA Corporation.
Post-Placement Support: Continuous support is provided to ensure long-term employment stability.
Career Progression: Beneficiaries are encouraged to advance in their careers through additional training and support.
The program has demonstrated significant success in achieving its goals, with a substantial number of PwDs being trained and placed in employment.
