Entrepreneurship & Employment-Linked Skill Training Programme (ELSTP) – UKSDM - Uttarakhand

This initiative, implemented under the guidance of the Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM), focuses on enhancing employability through industry-relevant, placement-linked training programs, contributing to the state’s vision of inclusive and sustainable skill development.

The Entrepreneurship and Employment-Linked Skill Training Programme (ELSTP) is a flagship initiative implemented by the Uttarakhand Skill Development Mission (UKSDM) to enhance the employability of youth through short-term, NSQF-aligned skill training. The program is designed to provide free, industry-relevant training that leads to wage or self-employment, particularly targeting underserved and rural populations.

Key Features:

• NSQF Alignment: All training programs follow the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) to ensure quality and standardization.

• Multiple Job Roles: Training is offered across diverse sectors such as Retail, Apparel, Electronics, IT-ITeS, Tourism & Hospitality, and more.

• Placement-Linked: The program emphasizes employment outcomes, with structured support for job placement and entrepreneurship.

• Widespread Reach: Training centers are established across various districts in Uttarakhand, making skilling accessible to remote and marginalized communities.

• Monitoring & Quality Assurance: UKSDM ensures rigorous monitoring, assessment, and certification processes to maintain training quality.

This initiative has successfully trained over 2,000 candidates in Uttarakhand, contributing to the state’s vision of building a skilled, self-reliant workforce.
